Maharashtra MahaID Registration on MahaSamanvay Portal @ mahasamanvay.maharashtra.gov.in

Maharashtra Government has started MahaID registration on newly launched MahaSamanvay portal. This MahaID registration is open for all residents of the state on the portal. After MahaID registration, citizens can apply for different welfare schemes through the same portal.
What is MahaID?
MahaID is a unique identity for citizens of Maharashtra, linked with their Aadhaar number. It is the primary login credential (other than Aadhaar) which can be used to access the MahaSamanvay portal and view the schemes you are eligible for and the benefits you are already receiving.
How to Register for MahaID on MahaSamanvay Portal?
Creating your MahaID is a very simple process, just follow the below given process to create your own MahaID on the official portal.
STEP 1: Visit the homepage of the official Mahasamanvay Portal at mahasamanvay.maharashtra.gov.in (portal launching soon)
STEP 2: On the homepage, click on “Citizen Login” option as shown in the below image.

STEP 3: Now you will reach to the login page of the portal, here, click on “New User? Register with IDAM” link as shown in below image.

STEP 4: On the next page, MahaID registration form will open as shown in below image.

STEP 5: Fill all the required details in the form such ass DOB, Aadhaar number, Name, District, PIN Code etc, and click on “Save and Proceed” button.
STEP 6: On the next step, upload all the required documents such as Aadhaar card, educational qualification documents, income certificate, voter ID card, residence certificate etc.
STEP 7: Click on Submit, and your application for MahaID registration will be sent to the department and after approval, you will received SMS/Email notification with your new MahaID.

What is Mahasamanvay Portal?
MahaSamanvay Portal by Maharashtra government is a single digital platform to connect citizens with all major welfare schemes and services. It works like a unified citizen database, helping people apply for benefits in one place while giving authorities a verified source of information to stop fake claims.
The main aim of this portal is to plug leaks, avoid duplication, and bring more clarity in government spending. For example, earlier over 26 lakh wrong claims were found in schemes like Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, causing huge losses. With this portal, the state has created a “golden record” of genuine beneficiaries, making sure that only real residents of Maharashtra get the benefits.

The portal collects and verifies information from 22 state and central databases, cutting down duplicate records from 15 crore to 5 crore. Citizens can log in with their Maha ID to check which benefits they are already receiving, what new schemes they are eligible for, and apply directly. It connects in real time with government departments to check income, property, and domicile status.
Fraud control features make it compulsory for new schemes to pick beneficiaries from this verified database, with future plans of adding AI tools for data checks and a citizen alert system. Strong firewalls and monitoring are also in place to stop misuse and protect people from fake advisory services.
